I travelled for five weeks in Peru, hiking and researching walking routes for the 40th anniversary of the renowned Bradt guidebook, ‘Trekking in Peru’.
I provided original, verifiable information for Chapters 6, 8 and 12. This involved walking and checking hike route descriptions, visiting towns, interviewing guides and writing precise and safe trekking routes.
The bonus was I walked dream routes, including the Huayhuash in the north to summiting Chachani volcano in the south.
